Wilkes County, NC (December 24, 2021) – Three people have lost their lives following an accident in Wilkes County on Friday evening, December 17. At around 3:20 p.m., authorities were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Boone Trail.

Reports from authorities show that 45-year-old Sherry Elaine Aderhold was traveling east on Boone Trail in a Ford F-350. For unknown reasons, the vehicle collided head-on with a Toyota Camry.

The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to go off the roadway where the Toyota to overturn.

Two people in the Toyota, identified as 79-year-old Ellen Huffman Roten and 81-year-old Pearl Bullins Huffman, and Aderhold all sustained fatal injuries. The three victims died at the scene.

At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
