According to the latest travel alerts from the United States, these violent acts have occurred in Tijuana, Mexicali, Rosarito, Ensenada and Tecate.
Because of the above, the government recommended its citizens to avoid travel to these areas, seek safe refuge, monitor local media, and inform friends and family about their safety.
The travel warnings arise after recorded violent incidents in Jalisco, where, according to Governor Enrique Alfaro, they were a response to various actions of federal forces in Ixtlahuacán del Río.
Meanwhile, in Chihuahua, it was due to a confrontation between two organized crime groups, with the first violent act being a confrontation inside the Ciudad Juárez prison.
