A Bedford street has been cordoned off after a car flipped on its side in a crash at around 4:30pm today (September 4).
Dame Alice Street in Bedford, Bedfordshire was cordoned off to allow police, paramedics and the fire service to attend the scene.
The road has been cordoned off at the four-way junction between St Peters Street, the High Street and The Broadway.

Five police cars, three fire engines and an ambulance were at the scene along with many police officers from Bedfordshire Police and firefighters from Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue.

Police rushed in with their cars to block drivers from driving onto the scene and soon put up police tape to prevent pedestrians from entering the stretch of road.
A silver car can be seen on its side straddling the pavement and road, very close to the historic houses on the street.
Paramedics were also seen with a person at the scene on the path at the side of the road.
