Stonewall Group of Marietta and the Cambridge/Guernsey County Visitors and Convention Bureau have been recognized by the Ohio Travel Association.
The bureau received a RUBY Award, equivalent to first-place honors, in its budget division for its newly launched website, VisitGuernseyCounty.com. In addition, the bureau received a Citation of Excellence award for its motorcycle tours brochure.
The awards were presented during the Annual Conference on Tourism held at Kalahari Resort in Sandusky.
Developed by Stonewall Group, the new website VisitGuernseyCounty.com showcases rich new photography, user-friendly options, trip itineraries and more.
The website provides leisure travelers, meeting planners and group tour operators with up-to-date area information and is the number one tool used by the bureau to promote Cambridge/Guernsey County.
Stonewall also designed the bureau’s motorcycle tours brochure featuring five uniquely themed rides in and around Guernsey County.
“It is a rarity to find such a kindred spirit as we have with Debbie Robinson and the Cambridge/Guernsey County VCB,” Leslie Crooks, Stonewall president, said. “We’ve had the great fortune to work with them for more than 20 years and always find collaborating on new projects to be inspiring and successful.”
The Ohio Travel Association received dozens of entries submitted by convention and visitor bureaus, tourist attractions and lodging facilities from throughout the state.
In its 25th year, the RUBY Awards “Recognize Uncommon Brilliance” and honors the most innovative examples of marketing by Ohio tourism entities each year.
Entries were judged based on impact, relevance, clarity, creativity and overall communication of the organization’s message.
Founded in 1976, the Ohio Travel Association is the largest travel and tourism trade association in Ohio. OTA’s nearly 700 members include hotels, restaurants, attractions, convention and visitors bureaus and tour companies.
