Despite a rather disappointing summer, the month of September surprised us with a last taste of summer sun.

Looking forward to the start of October, Londoners can expect some continuation of these sunny skies, though with some chillier temperatures, according to AccuWeather.

The weather forecaster has predicted the month will start off strong, with Friday, October 1 forecast for partial sunshine but with highs of 17C.

The following day on Saturday, October 2 sun and areas of high cloud will be seen in the morning, followed by clouds and intervals of sunshine in the afternoon with highs of 17C.

Tourists enjoy the sun whilst they sit on the steps near the Tower of London, as a heatwave which could produce the hottest temperatures this year is sweeping across the UK.

This temperature will stay the same all weekend, and by Sunday, October 3 Londoners will experience intervals of cloud and sunshine.

From Monday the temperature is expected to increase ever so slightly to 18C for the next five days, but more temperamental weather is also expected.

The beginning of the week will see a passing morning shower, but otherwise it will be partly sunny.

According to AccuWeather, by Tuesday Londoners will see cloudy skies with a couple of thunderstorms in the afternoon.
