In the South, the latest weather forecast from Fox News explained that an ice storm rampaged Western Texas, Tennessee, Arkansas and portions of the South.
The powerful ice storm unloaded heavy snow and ice conditions, resulting in deaths, power outages and significant travel disruptions.

According to AccuWeather’s latest forecast, wintry conditions are expected to persist until the Meteorological Spring.
The blast of colder air and the polar vortex would help bring colder temperatures to the United States.
The polar vortex contributed to the challenging and extreme temperatures in the United Kingdom and Canada.
Eyes were also set on New York City after it experienced about 300 days of the snowless streak.
Reports showed that NYC residents only had a trace amount of snow.
There was no recorded measurable snowfall. The weather reports added that it would be warmer temperatures.
In New York, the National Weather Service (NWS) recently reported that the state experienced more light to moderate rain than snow.
Meanwhile, AccuWeather reported that only Boston recorded a measurable snowfall on the Interstate 95 corridor.
Furthermore, the report noted that East Coast might have the snowiest month this coming March 2023.
Residents on East Coast should anticipate the weather system, especially the rounds of heavy snow.
Spring thunderstorms and Tornado outbreaks
On the other hand, AccuWeather experts noted that there could be a low chance of more thunderstorms for the spring season.
The South of the United States recently suffered from violent tornado outbreaks that unloaded in Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia and Mississippi.
The impact resulted in widespread damage to communities and power outages.
In the weather outlook, there is a chance of severe weather risks from March to May 2023.
- Moderate risks are forecast in Minneapolis, Chicago and Houston.
- Meanwhile, higher risks are predicted in Kansas City and Memphis.
- There is also a risk of flooding in the same months in Dallas, Atlanta, Mississippi, Omaha and San Francisco.
In California, the BBC News reported that the unabated rain in California helped to ease the prolonged drought in the state.
In the Mississippi River, there is much optimism that the snowpack would be helpful to boost the water levels in the drought-stricken river.
