TUCSON (KVOA) – Travel restrictions are now in effect downtown as crews begin building an outdoor holiday ice rink.
According to the Department of Transportation and Mobility, Church Avenue between Broadway and Cushing Street will be down to one lane of travel in each direction starting Tuesday. The 24-hour restrictions will be in effect until Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022.
Church Avenue between Jackson Street and Cushing will also be closed from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 15 and Jan. 11.
Businesses, parking lots and parking garages around the area will still be open, but metered parking won’t be available on Church Avenue.
