If you hold the Hilton Honors Aspire Card from American Express*, you earn a free weekend night certificate each year after card renewal and new cardmembers receive a free weekend night upon approval. Beyond offering free nights outright, the card allows you to earn 14 points per dollar spent at Hilton Hotels and resorts and up to 7 points per dollar on select travel purchases. Between the free night certificate and the point earning opportunities, you’ll soon be planning your dream getaway.

With the free night rewards offered by the Hilton Aspire, you have the opportunity to stay in some of the most sought-after vacation spots in the world worry-free. Here is a hand-picked list of some of Hilton’s top hotels and resorts.

Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort and Spa

This beachfront resort in Naples, Florida is one of Hilton’s hottest properties. With accentuated views of the Gulf beyond, the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort and Spa offers a variety of comforting amenities onsite, as well as tours and watersports along the expansive Florida coastline.

The property itself is equipped with a heated outdoor resort-style pool with views of the nearby shore, a sundeck and an onsite spa for treatments and complete relaxation. The hotel offers fine dining at its onsite restaurant, The Deck, along with plenty of snack and drink options available at The Bar. Did we mention the beachside Gulf Cart service? The hotel does charge a resort fee, which pays for guest internet, two water bottles, two beach chairs and towels, beach umbrella, an 80 minute spa massage with 10% off and other resort entertainment and activities.

The surrounding area of Marco Island hosts sprawling beaches, untouched tropical parks and boat tours. If that’s not enough to keep you busy, it’s just a short ride to Florida’s Everglades. At nearby Collier Seminole State Park, visitors can take narrated boat tours, go on nature walks, or try fishing, canoeing and picnicking. The Briggs Nature Center offers a half-mile boardwalk showcasing local wildlife in its natural habitat.

This hotel is an expensive one to add additional nights on points, with rates often over 100,000 Hilton Honors points per night. Cash rates typically between $250 and $550 per night may be a better option here.

Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero

This Canopy hotel is located in one of the most accessible parts of Paris—the 16th arrondissement. The Eiffel Tower is just a kilometer away and the hotel is within walking distance of the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs-Èlysees and the Bois de Boulogne park.

With surroundings like these and convenient public transportation, guests can explore all the iconic Paris sites. The hotel offers top-notch amenities and spectacular views from the hotel’s rooftop bar and terrace, where a 360 view includes the Eiffel Tower. Multiple onsite dining options allow guests who crave some time away from the excitement in the city options for a night in. For guests still adjusting from jet lag, there’s all-day dining at the hotel’s main restaurant. The hotel’s Central Cafe and Bar offers drinks, coffee and lighter nibbles.

Rooms at this hotel are often 80,000 Hilton Honors points per night. Cash rates are usually around 280 Euros.

Hilton San Francisco Union Square

San Francisco’s Hilton by Union Square is a convenient and picturesque setting for a weekend stay near the Golden Gate. The hotel’s building is an ideal central point between Union Square, Chinatown, the Theatre District, Nob Hill, the Powell Street Cable Car turnaround and Westfield Shopping Center. Cityscape, the hotel’s sky bar, is the highest in the city, offering panoramic views of the San Fran skyline and the bay beyond.

Other lounge and dining options offered at the hotel include the Lobby bar, Poached—a bountiful breakfast bar—as well as the Herb n’ Kitchen grab-and-go market for quick fixes or room delivery. The hotel also hosts an outdoor pool, whirlpool, fully equipped fitness center and pet-friendly rooms.

Reward nights at this hotel typically cost 70,000 Hilton Honors points per night and cash rates can be found for as low as $200.

Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi

This Waldorf Astoria hotel is the stuff of dreams.

The Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi is a spa sanctuary set in a relaxing paradise with white sand beaches and clear, warm waters. The resort is a 40 minute yacht ride from the Velana International Airport and once on site, guests of all ages can enjoy both indoor and outdoor recreation and relaxation.

The resort hosts an astounding number of dining venues—11 in all—including Terra, a treetop restaurant. Guests have the option of lounging on the beach or hanging out at their very own reef and outwater villas that include private pools on three islands—one of which is the private Ithaafushi island.

Daily water sport activities including the Waldorf Astoria Young Discovery Park offer youth a range of water activities. The oceanside spa is nestled in the resort’s botanical gardens and provides a luxurious decompression from a day out in the sun. The spa offers holistic treatments as well as exercise programs. For those wishing to venture beyond the resort, a 30-minute yacht ride will take guests to the cultural and historical capital city of Malé.

Get ready to save up if you want to spend more than one night at this hotel. Reward rates are regularly over 500,000 points per night with cash rates easily reaching $2,000 per night.

Hilton Cancun, an All-Inclusive Resort

This secluded resort is located along a 100-acre Mayan coastline tucked away behind a peaceful mangrove preserve. It is the perfect getaway for travelers looking to relax on the beach, experience a wide variety of traditional Mexican and other international cuisine options and soak up soothing treatments at the hotel’s full-service spa.

Hilton Cancun is ideal for guests seeking a true retreat to paradise with tranquility and stunning natural surroundings. Local attractions include flora and fauna at the Botanical Garden of Dr. Alfredo Barrera Marìn just up the road, the Cancun Underwater Museum and a variety of mangrove tours and nature walks. Fun cultural attractions await visitors of all ages, including the nearby theme park Xoximilco, inspired by Mexican traditional customs, with music, food and gondola rides through the Mayan jungle.

This hotel isn’t quite open yet, but we expect to see points rates around 60,000 points per night and cash rates around $300.

Hilton Tahiti Resort

The Hilton Tahiti Resort is serenely situated by the water overlooking the impressive volcanic mountains of Mo’orea Island. And it’s only five minutes out from the Faaa International Airport and the center of the capital city Pape’ete.

Six private cabanas on the hotel’s property offer romantic sunset vistas near the outdoor pool across the water to Mo’orea Island. Three exquisite dining options within the resort range from al fresco balcony space to large bay windows overlooking the water. The property features an on-site spa, fitness center and an elegant ballroom which provides a perfect venue for weddings and group events.

The nearby city of Pape’ete offers treats for those interested in exploring Polynesian culture, cuisine, food markets, craft markets, museums and historical sites. The local Robert Wan Pearl Museum features informative exhibits on the local pearl and jewelry industry.

The colorful Marché de Pape’ete is an enclosed but open-air market that features local produce, fresh-caught fish and Tahitian handicrafts. From the Pape’ete port visitors can easily access the stunning Moorea Island by ferry for snorkeling, ray feeding, watersports, whale watching, ziplining, hiking, catamaran cruises and more.

This hotel isn’t quite open yet, but we expect to see points rates around 200,000 points per night and cash rates around $800

Doubletree by Hilton Mazatlan

With immediate beach access, four swimming pools, five onsite dining and drinking options and a full-service spa, this Doubletree experience lives up to its local surroundings in the Golden Zone of Mazatlàn, Mexico. Located on the western coast in Sinaloa, this beach area is slightly less known by tourists than some of the other spots along the Mayan shoreline, remaining true to local culture and community.

Beyond the resort’s beachfront views, guests can visit nearby attractions within the city center of Mazatlàn. The city is a historic capital, rich with culture and renowned for its big-game fishing. The city is lined by a 13-mile boardwalk and sandy beaches. The Centro Historico is the old historic part of the city, with landmark attractions like the Teatro Angela Peralta and the golden spires of the Immaculate Conception Basilica.

Beyond the coast are nearby islands where visitors can access some of Sinaloa’s natural beauty up close. At the wildlife sanctuary of Pàjaros island, visitors can sneak a peek at protected local flamingos, pelicans, ducks and other winged species by boat. Venados island, part of the Mazatlan Ecological Reserve, offers visitors guided boat tours, kayaking and snorkeling in the calm, warm waters just offshore from this untouched ecosystem.

Points rates at this hotel are regularly a shockingly low 29,000 Hilton Honors points per night and cash rates are around $100.

Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Credit Card

For an annual fee of $450, the Hilton Honors Aspire Card from American Express* provides great opportunities for frequent travelers to use and earn points on purchases from flights and hotels to U.S. restaurants. The card offers a welcome bonus: 150,000 Hilton Honors bonus points after spending $4,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of opening an account Cardholders can earn an additional night reward after $60,000 spent with the card each calendar year.

Bottom Line

The Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Credit Card provides an ideal option for travelers looking to earn points and save on travel expenses beyond just the average accommodation cost. For members who accumulate enough annual spending to earn extra bonus points, the benefits of this card will go far on weekend trips, quick getaways and business stopovers in some of the priciest cities and hottest tourist spots on the globe.
