ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING RULES ARE IN EFFECT ALL WEEK
Subway Series Tuesday and Wednesday! Whooda thunk both NY teams would be in first place by this point (me, that’s who!). The Yanks travel to Queens to meet the Mets at 7 p.m. both days. Expect extra traffic on the Grand Central, Whitestone, Van Wyck, Northern Blvd., and RFK bridge from the Bronx to Queens (all Yankee fans). Avoid the jams and parking hassles: take the 7 or the LIRR.
It’s Yanks vs. the Royals Thursday and Friday 7 p.m., Saturday 2 p.m., and Sunday 1:30 p.m.
The St. Irene Greek Festival is Thursday to Sunday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., at 23rd Ave. and 36th St. in Astoria.
WWE Monday Night RAW kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at MSG. At Radio City Music Hall, Bleachers performs Tuesday 8 p.m., Banks plays Wednesday 7 p.m., RuPaul’s Drag Race Werq the World Tour starts Thursday 8 p.m., and Maren Morris plays Friday 8 p.m.

Has there been any further study or consensus on a bike/ped crossing between NJ and NYC?
Bike Hudson County via Twitter
The world is passing us by on foot and by bike. London built the Millennium Bridge, Paris the Passerealle Leopold Bridge, Singapore the Helix Bridge all this century (I can name 20 others). NYC hasn’t built a bridge of any type to its Central Business District since 1909 (Manhattan Bridge).
I proposed 4 new pedestrian-bike bridges across the East River. One from Queens, another from Brooklyn and two across the Hudson River. There is no direct ped-bike path from NJ to Midtown or Downtown Manhattan.
Nothing but nibbles on my plan from officials, but if we are to continue as a world city this century we need to be multi-modal and that includes human powered transport. We need the public pushing, especially with the new infrastructure bill providing some revenue.
