The far northern tip of Cameroon has a warm steppe climate, becoming a warm desert climate at Lake Chad. The vast majority of Cameroon however has to deal with the three different tropical climates.
Part of the country is one of the wettest areas of the continent of Africa. The rainy season starts from April and lasts till November and most precipitation falls along the coast.
Most of Cameroon has a fairly constant temperature of around thirty degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) during the day year-round and 20 to 24 degrees Celsius (68-75° F) at the end of the night.
The best travel time for a holiday in Cameroon is the period from December to February. This is the driest and most sunny period.
