There has not been much good news for holidaymakers this year but at least those heading to Bulgaria and Turkey have something to smile about.
Popular resorts in both countries have just been named as Europe’s best-value destinations for British families.
The cost of 12 holiday expenses such as suncream, buckets and spades and ice creams at Sunny Beach in Bulgaria and Marmaris in Turkey were estimated at a wallet-friendly £86, according to the Post Office Travel Money’s annual Family Holiday Report.
It is, however, a different story for those heading to Ibiza, where the items, which also included a family meal, drink, insect repellent, pedalo rides and lilos, were found to be the most expensive at more than £186.
