Worst Foods And Drinks For Your Teeth
1. Bread
Bread is considered the worst food for oral health because as you chew bread, your saliva breaks down the starch into sugar. It also sticks in the mouth, and crevices between your teeth, which can further cause cavities. Therefore, always aim to eat foods with less carb content as they do not break down in the body easily.

2. Alcohol
If you are someone who drinks alcohol frequently, you might want to stop. Alcohol promotes dehydration and a dry mouth which lacks saliva. Saliva is essential in the mouth to keep it moisturised and teeth healthy. It prevents the food from sticking in the mouth, along with washing away the food particles. Furthermore, it also helps in preventing the early signs of gum diseases, tooth decay, and many other oral infections.

Carbonated drinks are made with water, carbon dioxide, sweeteners, and acids. Drinking excess amounts of carbonated drinks can damage your teeth, and enable the plaque to produce more acid to attack the tooth enamel. Sipping these drinks quite frequently dries out your mouth, leaving less saliva in the mouth.
4. Citrus Fruits
Citrus fruits such as oranges, grapefruit, and lemons, contain good amounts of vitamin C. However the high acid content in these citrus fruits can erode enamel, leading to tooth decay. Citrus fruits can also cause mouth sores and cause irritation and pain.
